London Fashion Week has just come to a close and as per usual some amazing collections came out of London. I think it’s easy to underestimate how creative and exciting our fashion industry is, with the likes of Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, Mulberry, Henry Holland, Burberry, Christopher Kane and Gareth Pugh, we do produce great fashion! Just take a walk around any of our cities; you don’t have to look too hard to spot some very fashionable (sometimes crazy looking) individuals pushing fashion boundaries.

All these catwalk trends will be watered down and we will be wearing them in one guise or other next Autumn/Winter. Here’s the lowdown on some of the collections.

Mulberry, Leather was a big trend here… leather dresses, leather pleated skirts, colours like olive, sage, and tan, Military coats and capes, large rose prints, black encrusted sparkle.

Roksanda Full length coats with fur collars, ruffle collars and neck ties, satin dresses, velvet, paisleys, mustard worn with berry and teal.

House of Holland Glam rock inspired… mixing prints and textures (metallic with large photographic prints with animal print with leather with lace and faux fur)

Alexander McQueen Tux like tailored jackets, black and cream lace dresses, see through black dresses with colourful embroidery, black tailored leather coats, Butterflies on everything

Jasper Conran Big bold multicoloured stripes in jewel colours, graphic circle prints, large geometric prints, large stripes in navy and white, oversized coats.

Burberry Mixed big Folk Art floral shirts with snakeskin prints, large check coats and Military style coats and jackets.
